Fibre Reinforced Polymers in Concrete Structures (bibtex)

Abstract:
The paper presents an overview on the use of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) reinforcement in the construction industry, both as internal concrete reinforcement and external bonded reinforcement. Although the development of codes of practice that incorporate the use of FRP reinforcement in reinforced concrete structures is still at an early stage, much research has been done worldwide. Several examples of applications in civil engineering are shown and possible applications in various fields are also discussed.
